Attention all Truman students:  We are looking for students in all grades to volunteer for Truman Buddies. Buddies meets after school once a month. Volunteers work with students in our life skills program, developing friendships and doing fun activities together. It is a very rewarding program and will look great on college applications. Sign up for Truman Buddies in Room C10.

 

 

 

 

 

Attention students

 

If you are scheduled for a lunch detention please report directly to the lunch detention table as soon as you enter the cafeteria. 

 

 

Also, remember when you enter the cafeteria you must take your seats first, the teacher's on duty will then send you to the lunch lines. 

 

Please complete your permission slips for Mrs. Hartwick's Restaurant School Field Trip.  You please on the bus will not be secure until you give Mrs. Hartwick the completed permission slip and $10. 

 

 

 

 

 

Club News

 

 

Attention all students traveling to Costa Rica with Sra. Datis.

 

There will be a very important meeting on September 19, at 6:00 PM in the school Library.

 

Please make an effort to attend.

 

 

 

 

LIGHT Bible Club's First meeting is on Wednesday, September 13 at 2:30 in Room A 13. Let your light shine!!!

 

 

 

 

Are you thinking of being a business owner?  Come and meet with the DECA club today at 2:30.  The meeting will be an hour, please make sure you have a way home after!

 

 

 

 

We are so excited to start V.O.I.C.E. (Variety of Individual Cultural Expressions- Truman's Multicultural Club!) Our first meeting will be held this Thursday, September 14, 2017. We will meet near the career center after school ends and then we will head down to the cafeteria. If you normally ride the bus to school, you will be able to take the 5:30 bus back home. We hope to see you there! Please see Ms Bodnar if you have any questions.

 

 

 

 

The debate and speech team will hold their first team meeting of the year this Wednesday, September 13 after school in the library. All are welcome. Come get information about events, and meet the returning team members and coaches. Buses will be able to take you home at 5:30

 

 

 

 

 

Sports News

 

The Truman Football team picked up it’s 3rd win of the season beating William Tennent 41 - 0.  

 

 

 

Hats of to the entire defense for the shutout victory including a 45 yard touchdown interception by Javeer Peterson.  This is the second shutout for the Tigers’ D.

 

 

 

On Offense, David Akinwande led the way with 19 carries for just over 190 yards and 2 touchdowns.  

 

 

 

The other  two touchdowns were scored by Enzo Poulson and Terrence Rogers.  

 

 

 

The Tigers next game will be Friday night against the Council Rock South Hawks.

 

The lines will be long so buy your ticket in advance on Friday during lunch & skip the lines!

 

 

Attention all Junior and Senior girls interested in playing in the annual powderpuff football game. There will be an important informational meeting after school Monday September 18th in room C-25. If you have any questions see Ms. Edge or Ms. O'Donnell. Please make arrangements to have a ride home.

 

 

 

 

Softball meeting will be held at September 12th 3:30 in G3. All who are interested in playing softball for the 2017-2018 season should attend this meeting. If you cannot attend this meeting please have a friend sign your name on the sheet. 

 

 

 

 

 Truman Girls Tennis will be hosting a Chickfila Night on Thursday 9/14 at the Oxford Valley road Chickfila, please come support them and say you're there for Truman Tennis at the register when you checkout.

 

 

 

 

The JV field hockey team played an amazing game yesterday tying with Council Rock South. Christina Gregory had 9 saves on the day, and Shjon Hall, Madison Marshall, Allie Escalente, India LaSanta, Whitley Degranes, Sam Anderson, and Nariah Jewett all played hard hockey in the field. Congrats girls! Come support the team in their home against Bensalem on Wednesday!

 

 

 

 

The boys soccer team picked up a 6-1 win over a game upper Moreland squad yesterday.  Diego Rodriquez picked up his first goal of the year in first half.

 

 

Badr Fask, Edwin Teah, Cj weed, Ilyas Nashid and Rancy Slanger all scored in the second half to break open a tight game.  

 

Huge SOL National game vs Counvil Rock North today at 330 in the stadium.  Come support the tigers as they look to go 4-1 on the season.
