Campus News

Attention students going on the Galapagos Trip.  We will be meeting immediately after school tomorrow in room B-1.  We will play some games, have some snacks, and make our tie-dye shirts.  Make sure to bring your $5, or get it to Mr. Miller beforehand.

 

The next Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, March 15th. Key Club members will be in the back of the lunchroom all this week, please see them for details and to sign up. Teachers, if you are interested in donating, please email Miss Thieme or Senorita Lamplugh.

 

Attention Students: If you have overdue books or owe library fines, you will be receiving a notice in your 1st period class.  If your book is from another school, please turn it into Truman's library and we will return it for you. If you owe a fine, please come see the librarian.  Thank you

Attention Talent Show Performers:

Today, March 6th practice is mandatory.  It will be held in C-9. You must bring your music on a zip drive.  It must be the karaoke version of the song. Come prepared to perform so you can be placed in the lineup.  Expect to be there until at least 4:30. Make work arrangements. See you later today. Please arrive promptly by 2:20.  See you then.

 

Sports News

Attention all Football Players: Due to the possibility of bad weather on Wednesday evening our offensive skills practice will be held today from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Please make the necessary arrangements to attend. If you have any concerns please contact Coach L.

 

The Truman girls bowling team had an exciting weekend in the Regional Tournament. The top six teams move onto the State Tournament.  After 3 standard games of bowling the Tigers were placed in 6th. After 6 baker games Including an awesome 214 and 190 game the Tigers advance into the seeded  bracket finals. The 5th seed Tigers took on the 4th seeded Bears from Elizabeth Town and defeated them 211 to 151 and 188 to 146. Truman moved onto the Semi Finals against number 1 seed Shikellamy and lost by 9 pins, finishing 3rd in the RegionalTournament  and advance to Sates in Pittsburg PA.

 

On Saturday, two wrestlers qualified for the PIAA State Championships.  Junior Gunnar Fuss will make his third consecutive trip to the state tournament, after winning the 126lb SE region title.  Senior Alex Litz will join him after finishing 3rd at 182lbs to qualify for the state championships for the first time. In the championship final, Gunnar won by a score of 3-2 over #1 seed Lukas Richie from Downingtown East to not only become a region champion, but to earn his 100th career win as well.  Congratulations and best of luck in Hershey this week
